Super job! I am building a D11R 1:14 as well, I live in Halifax Canada..here is the link to what I have built so far, If you need any help or want to exchange information send me a message... I would really like to chat !
Hello Gabriele, hello Blair (gauthib12), hello all,
the chain-track-chassis of Gabriele looks really very sophisticated with many details and is made in an almost professional way. I wish I could do such work, too.
Thanks Blair for the link to the "Gardentrucking"-forum, however the organisation of this forum (as far as different subtopics are concerned) is not so fine structured. I'll have to take som time to read more there. At least the Cat D11R is a very interesting model.
Looking foreward to your version of the "Sideframes" which hold the front idler and how "Track Adjustment" will be accomodated. I showed the pictures of your CAT to Joerg Damitz (Damitz Modellbau) and he was very impressed (big compliment).
Thanks a lot !!!
Perhaps I will use some part of the Damitz hydraulic system (the best) but still it is soon for this decision.
Now I am constructing many repetitive parts and as soon as I will have important innovationes I will insert other photos.
You are doing a realy great job. :hand-up:
Last year in december I started also with a CAT D11R in scale 1:12. But I couldn't find plans or good pictures. I just got the pdf from the CAT homepage, but there are only few measures, and the CAT trader near my home can't get more information as I found on the CAT homepage. So I have to work with very inexact measures.
So I hope you can give me few tips where I can get more information and perhaps a few good links.
